Barrister-at-law by profession, Kevin has been holding a Full International Racing Licence Class C since 1999. He started off his racing career in karting back in 1991 and had raced in the last Hong Kong International Kart Championship 1992 in Victoria Park, Hong Kong - an event which many of the Formula One drivers like Senna and Fisichella had once participated in.

The Ericsson WRX Challenge in 1997 was his first season in racing one-make saloon cars. In the second season of the Ericsson WRX Challenge, he was constantly ranked amongst the front runners.
