The Ericsson WRX Challenge in 1997 was his first season in racing one-make saloon cars. In the second season of the Ericsson WRX Challenge, he was constantly ranked amongst the front runners.

With the joint effort from Michael, our ex-driver, the Team achieved a satisfactory result of 2nd runner-up for the team Championship in the 1998

series. Added to this accomplishment is Kevin's finish of 6th place in the Ericsson Challenge in Macau 1998 against other professional race drivers from Japan, New Zealand and Singapore.

Kevin competed in the championship series organized by the Macau AA in the Class Intercontinental-C - the class of karts with the highest power output and 6-speed gearbox. He gained three 2nd runner-ups and two 1st runner-ups out of 6 races of the 1998 second series and managed to win 1st runner-up of the Championship.

Upon invitation by the organizer, Kevin also took part in the Formula Campus race - the one-make Formula car race series which has promoted young talents to the higher hierarchy of racing. The results, one 2nd runner-up and one 3rd runner-up out of two races, are encouraging and have laid the foundation for future single-seater races.
